Just wondering if anyone has experimented with cooling down your eggs for a certain amount of time during incubation and what was the results with your hatch??. Thank you any and all replys....... I have read about this but have never tryed it.... Sorry if this is a post that has been answered before... Jim...

I have heard of this, but I haven't tried it either. It make sense if you think about it.The egg cools down and the chicks move around more to get warm which would make them stronger for the hatch.
In N.H.,Tony.

Thanks for your reply Tony. I have Prairie chicken eggs in the bator at this time and because of the expensive of them I did not want to experiment but thought I would ask if anyone had tried this and what their hatch rate was..

If you try it and it works let us know I am curious and if you think about it the mother hen does leave the eggs for awhile so they would cool down and when I have candles ones the mothers have sat on there is alot more movement in the eggs.
