Hi! Im from wisconsin and its been extremely hot around here. Well, for me n my chickens anyways. Everytime i go out by my chickens, they are always panting and spreading their wings out. I usually give them a chunk of watermelon to cool them off. It usually does ok but i was just wondering if i could do anything else to cool them down? thanks for help.

Soaker hoses and misters are great, thats what my inlaws do in SC

Hope that helps some

I was going to say misters but I don't know how well they work in places with humidity. I don't even know that where you live is humid but anyway. I use misters, big box fans, shade screen, frozen mixed veggies right out of the freezer and I freeze my milk jugs full of water and set them around in my coops. It can get in excess of 120 degrees here in the summer so keeping them cool is sometimes tricky.
