Here are pix of my coop!
YES your outline is exacly where they are! Since my camera is sooting up you can't see them but there is about2-3 inches of overhang from where the roof meets the walls that is open along your lineSoffit openings would be here, doesn't look like they are open?

oh I LOVE this idea! is there a way to keep windy rain from coming in through hardware cloth? Before you said that I was thinking just to cut a way bigger vent out where the little leuvered vents are on the back. Maybe replace those two little skinny vents with a big 15x15 vent with leuvers. Maybe i can do both but what keeps rain from gusting on them in the triangle space when that is on about the same or tiny bit above their roost height? My first impulse is to pull the siding off the gable triangles and replace it with hardware cloth. Heat and ammonia both rise.![]()
It doesn't look open from the inside, should be light coming thru, but instead I see 2x4's blocking where the gap usually is.YES your outline is exacly where they are! Looking closely at the one on the right, there does appear to be a small gap.Soffit openings would be here, doesn't look like they are open?

Maybe, but probably not enough.Looking closely at the one on the right, there does appear to be a small gap.
I am concerned about all those nails poking through.
No doubt. I liked 3killerbs idea of removing the ends.Maybe, but not enough
