Coop Alterations Update

I previously posted a question about making changes to my chicken coop and if it would stress out the ladies. The alterations are complete. I removed a row of nesting boxes that weren't being used, installed another higher roost and added better poop boards. It all worked out fine. The chickens watched me work, all 4 nesting boxes are being laid in, both roosts are being used and I'm still getting my 11 eggs daily. Everyone is happy. Just need to add a cover for the vent window so that I can open and close it throughout the winter months. thank you all for your suggestions and support. Chicken farming really is being like a mama again, learning as I go along and hoping I'm doing the right thing.

I agree, we must have pictures. Hubby just finished my new coop and run, but I have coop envy and always looking to update

Are the poop boards working well like that? Whenever I check in on my birds they don't all face the same direction at night

Yes they are working great! There's usually 5 hens on one roost, 3 on the other and the 3 on the floor nestled into the hay. A happy little crew!

Yes, but 3 of them are just being chicken! Lol!
