It looks like they have a "sun roof" - are those clear panels on the roof? I'm working on coop #2 and I've thought about using a sheet or two of that!

Hi all..

thanks for the kind words.

yes they are clear sheets on the roof but they are sat on a sheet of cdx plywood so not a see thru roof.
thought they would get too hot if just a perspex roof... and at one point i thought about putting a green
roof on but SWMBO didn't fancy it.

I have got 3 chooks in there.. probably could fit more in but only 1 at a push 2. prefer them to have space
and not be crammed in tho. Don't know how many I am allowed as I aint asked anyone. Someone else in
my street has chickens and nothing has been said so that'll do for me...
Also I think the rules in the uk are diff to the US etc.

I would love to come to canada lol.... North East near Durham.

the contraption to hang the feeder is just abit of abit of wood screwed to the underside of the coop.
the water feeder in the middle is hanging of the roost i made. that was just done from brances of a tree
that we took down (need to change it tho as not quite big eough) i just made it long enough so the water
could hang on the end.
