coop and run pic

I like it and especially the location. It is so nice and green. Very inviting. Ask the girls if I can come visit them next Spring...hehehehe

I got my dh to dig the holes but I did the rest. I have seven top turnips growing next to the fence. That way i can snip a bit for the two brahma each day. AKA, spoil them good. I want to put a row of rosemary around the other edge for odor control in the summer. I had a row but my well meaning hb thought he was cleanning up for me around the fence and cut it all down to the ground. It has not sprouted. I am tempted to let lambs quarters, a weed that chickens can eat go there too. Just keep it between the fence and mowed area. They love it too. Someday I want to build a house over to the rt. of where the chick house is so it has to be presentable. The trees will help to shade the coop in our hot western exposure. It gets up to 94 on my porch in the even. of the summer. After the sun goes behind the mtn it drops to 60's and 70. I always open the windows late in the evening. Ahhh fresh mtn air.
Oh I have some Knock Out roses that I plan to put between the trees as soon as the roses go dormant. I need to move them. I love plants almost as much a chicks. Jean
