I'm new here in BackYard Chickens and I'm curious about what is the ideal ratio of chicken coop dimension and the number of chick/chickens. Do you have suggestions or tips?

A good minimum recommendation is 2 - 3 ft^2 per bird for the coop and 4 - 5 ft^2 for the run. Bigger is always better, plus that will give you a chance to expand your chicken population later on.

4 sq ft in coop and 10 sq foot in the run. Bigger is always better.

If you live in an area where you get lots of snow I would stick with 4sq ft or bigger. If you dont get any snow and your coop is just for roosting and laying eggs and the feed is outside you could go smaller in the coop.
