I sent my husband to the store for more pine shavings and he came back with "aspen" bedding. Is this ok to use? I thought I read somewhere to use only pine. What is "aspen" bedding?

Sorry if this is just plain dumb! [IMG]

you've got high quality wood chips there, it'll be just perfect.

you need to avoid CEDAR... it has dangerous oils to most small animals, gerbils, guinea pigs, chickens etc...

I'm in total agreement with bodyflight in that your hubby did alright with getting the aspen shavings. They are totally safe for chicks/chickens.

Aspen beding is made from Aspen trees:

From what I've read, it contains less dust than pine shavings but I've never used it, personally.

    Hope this is some help!
