I woke this morning to find the small coop had blown over sometime during the night, it was housing the 2 new chickens I was trying to introduce to the flock.
Yesterday we had some winds but it must have got stronger during the night, the coop was in pieces, the poor chickens were left in the dark, there is a place could have found shelter but I don't know if they did or not.
It was cold and wet too, been raining more or less non stop yesterday and I suspect in the night too, it is still drizzling this morning and rain promised throughout the day today.

The girls are here, the garden is fenced off on all sides, ironically the coop is being sold today, someone is coming to pick it up, but at the moment its raining and in bits.
I have a larger coop for the rest of the flock so the new girls will have to endure the the squabbles in there tonight.

Well as I said in my earlier post, someone was coming to pick up the small coop today, because the winds blew it over the roost separated from the run, so I left it like that.
Luckily I did because when the man arrived it was easier to load in to his vehicle in 2 parts.

The 2 new chickens are in the big coop now with the 3 originals, there was a bit of squabbling but it seems they have sorted it out.
The 3 originals are perched on the roost and I was advised to put some kind of separation to keep them apart, which I did, so the 2 new girls are on the other side of the roost, but all seems calm fingers crossed.

Early morning now, opened the coop, they all seemed calm enough, no injuries or blood from what I could see. They are now all in the garden pecking away happily, the old coop has gone so the new girls only have the big coop now as home.
:thumbsup
