Coop Build: To nail or not to nail?

Old thread, I know, but I found it doing a web search, so others might as well.

I had build my coops using decking screws with torx heads. I've used 2.5" screws on 2x4s and 1.5" screws when attaching plywood.
These screws are coated for outdoor use and will last for a very long time.
I've had extreme winds here and everything is holding up fine.
I've had to remove wall panels before to get access into the coops and it was easy due to the screws.

Funny enough, I am in the process of planning a new coop and I was considering using nails.
In retrospect, I will stick with screws.

Deck screws with fender washers (wide diameter but thin washers that keep the screws from sinking in deeply), with an impact driver, was a total win for us. Once we got the rhythm going, it was like 30 seconds per fastening.
