Coop Build.

Since Mr.Bear tore down my previous coop. I've gathered up all the old boards I could from where I could and laid it all out in stacks like puzzle pieces. I'm hoping this one will be a lot better and everyone likes it. The polish haven't had a house since they were hatched this May. This is as far as I've gotten

Bears sure can tear up a coop. I'd recommend surrounding the new coop with electric fencing to deter them.

I have an electric fence just now I have to re run some wire I built my new one above the old one bc my hens still want to lay in the old log house.. but I still have a lot of work to do but today it's raining I have it done enough to where they are FINALLY not in cages,granted their was ALOT of hair pulling the first 10 min or so but everyone seems happy here's some very crappy pictures we tried to take of the inside. But I'm proud of my pieced together from scraps and donated wood. it's not much but my babies will be safe and warm and that's what matters most. Better pictures coming. I'm thinking of maybe adding a swing in there. Any thoughts?????

I've never provided a swing, so I don't know if they would use it or not.

Well I know they like to jump up on our swing and sit for a minutes. I might as well give it a go I have a bunch of scrap wood. This has become an all girl project it's been myself and my 72 yr mother in law. Buddy Girl and Luigi seem to like it so far. They are at the top of the pecking order we have learned today.

I have came to a stopping point. I plan to make their run go down to our duck pen but ye old tennis. Elbow said. Hold up ol girl so I just enclosed what poles i had set so I can recover plus my son's 7th birthday is tomorrow so. My roo Luigi didn't go all the way back in last night tho he stopped at the door hole and said I'll just sleep here... I put him on in the house tho (whole purpose is to not be out to be eaten ) but it doesn't look the best in the world and the wire in the pictures looks weird but I assure its tight and Noone has gotten out YET...lol oh and the board on the side has been nailed up that was my temp. Access point until I had their run built. But it is now secure.
