coop building questions

i am building my first coop. how big do my nesting boxes need to be? and how much ventalation do i need? i as going to put a roof cap on the top that will have about a 8 by 8 hole and then vents on the bottom to allow air to circulate. does this sound sufficent?

My nest boxes are 12"X12"X12" square. Here is a great page on ventilation. She knows "Ventilation"
