Many of the cameras on Amazon are just rebadged, many are very similar. Even the really cheap ones can work well.
You can control them using an app. I use an SD card with mine so I can playback the last 2 or 3 days of footage too. You can even get 30 day cloud storage but if you’re not using it for security it’s a waste of money IMO.
If you’re looking to get more cameras in future it’ll be worthwhile to stick to one brand so you can view them from a single app. I chose Reolink, they’re really good. I’ve got one of the outdoor and indoor cameras which I use to watch the chooks when I’m away.
You’ll need to decide how many megapixels you’re after, if you want good detail look for ones at 5MP, but if you just want to keep an eye out then 2MP can be totally adequate.
I spent a little more and went with a high megapixel ones and the outdoor one has an optical zoom because I’m a nerd.
