Marilyn is eating just fine

Her condition is not serious yet, though the vet said she was loaded with worms. Poor girl. I guess that since I lost Gwennie, I have been watching my girls with an eagle's eye to make sure they stay healthy. Marilyn is acting off, but not acting sick. I had the vet come and do a wellness check on her. That is how we discovered the worms.
I plan to have that vet come by every few months to look at my birds to make sure everybody is doing ok. It gives me peace of mind.
Thanks Dawg! I'll see if she'll drink milk. I've never given it to them before. I wonder if they'll like it.

Soak some bread in the milk, I'm sure she'll eat bread. I recommend that you worm all your chickens after Marilyn's cocci problem has been dealt with. If one chicken has worms, most likely the rest of them have them as well. Now is the time to order the safeguard goat wormer if your feed store doesnt carry it, so you'll have it on hand when the time comes.

So I brought out some bread soaked in milk. They all looked at it for a moment and took a taste. Then they looked at me like I had two heads, before they proceded to cover it up with their bedding. Hmmmm..... I wonder if they are too spoiled? Brats!
