The main coop was a pill to clean out. There was at least ten layers about 8" thick of deep litter to scoop out and disperse.

Then the duck coop (minus the ducks because I sold them) needed to be cleaned out and the run for cornish crosses and ugly teen chicks and for two brooder moms in the underrun(enclosed).

Got my eldest DD to help me out. (*whip whip) and she earned 5 bux, so did our youngest DD because she helped DW with the main coop and run til I got back with fresh pine shavings.

Then transferred some of the bigger chicks from the bantams to a diffrent coop.

I am so sore today, but I work sitting on my butt all day.

What did you do this weekend???

Oh, I know how ya feel! I also sit on my bum all day at a desk, five days a week. But this weekend I got alot accomplished. I cleaned out my big hen house and my small A-frame, and we mowed the six acres and trimmed and the yard looks great.

I do try and stay on top of things but it makes me feel so great when everything is clean and fresh for the chickens. I try and spot check the coops. Using a kitty litter scooper to get the poops out, which really helps with odors. And I rake out the sand in my runs regularly.

I walk the two dogs too. I do try and become active after work. There's always a project or a dog to walk, a meal to cook, dishes to do, laundry to do, something to sweep or dust.....

Wanna come over and help me clean out the attic? LOL Just kidding.......

This week...lost a chicken, had the flu, dug a trench, rodent proofed the run. Looking forward to getting back to work so I can relax!
