I just wanted to share a couple tools that I found to be really handy while I am just doing a daily spot cleaning of my coop.
Most of you BYCers probably already know this but I thought some of us newbies could use the tip.
A baby bottle brush with a nipple brush attached works great at cleaning the waterer. The nipple brush gets into those narrow openings on the inside of the water container and the spout on the tray. The larger brush scrubs the tray and the rest of the water container inside and out. This cost about $1 at the dollar store.
This putty knife is my poop scraper. Works great at scraping the poop from the top of the nesting boxes which collects the poop from their roosting branch hanging above it, and also their ramp leading to their nest boxes. I just scrape it into a bucket and dump it in my compost. This is also about $1.
Hope this helps in your coop cleaning.
I would love to hear your tips!! Please post your ideas.
