Has anyone used this to spray the coop, nest boxes, perches down to help pervent and get rid of mites? Do you think this would be a safe way but work well?

I use Poultry Dust (Permethrin or pyrethrin) or Sevin (carbaryl) in the coop under the shavings and on the roosts, after shoveling it out. No idea what's in that product, so I've got no opinion. I know what works, and will continue as I've been doing. Had a terrible episode with mites in the coop one winter, and don't want a repeat, EVER. Mary

I'll look at the ingredients tomorrow at work. I've used the poultry dust but still deal with scaly mite off and on. Can't find the permethrin spray, not sure what it looks like. I really like that this is organic and pet safe.

I think Scaly Leg Mites can be killed by coating legs with petroleum jelly, or bag balm, or something else that will cover and smother them, every day or two for a couple weeks.

I've done that plus use Front Line, after time I start seeing them again so I thought doing that plus spraying down the coop with something that will really soak in might get them.
