Coop coming along nicely but need advice on Perches

Yep..i'm with chick mom. I'm going to use a 2x4 ladder type. But i did come up with a idea for a large poop board under my ladder.....Since I want it large enough to catch every bit of poop off the roosts and I need to easily remove it every am to dump it; I am going to hinge the top of my ladder with small gate hinges so I can tilt the ladder up and lock it and then slide the poop board out for easy access. Probably not the first person to do this but I did feel like I had a revelation, LOL
