That is the problem with limited space on the property and limited knowledge.
As I live in a subdivision on a lake the neighbors would not take kindly to free range chickens running around the yard. The property has a drastic downward decline to the water. I squeezed in what i could fit and still had to have steps made to even get into the coop. Since the construction the ground is one big clay mud pit and tilling it up and planting seed around it after i get through getting the sand in and the contractor should be done today with electric.
The floor has a slide out tray for easy cleaning. Also there is a vent in the back. I opted to cover the windows with wire figuring the screen wire in the windows would not be strong enough. I have been reading so many stories about critters getting chickens that i think i am now phobic on it.
