Be sure when you leave openings for ventilation to cover with hardware cloth, it doesn't take a big hole for some predators to get in (rats, weasels, snakes). Those windows are beautiful, are you sure you want chickens to have them?
BTW, you guys are much nicer and more welcoming than my cycling forum.
I am loving the coop so far. I will make sure to cover the screen with cloth. Darn predators. Note: I got all these windows as recycle donation from a neighbor. It pays to have friends. I am amzed at how much we have spent already, and we have not even bought insulation yet.
How do you guys start those coop pages on here? I think this coop will deserve one, upon completion. Hope I am not overstepping my bounds as a noob around here.
Whoa! The Taj McChicken! Very nice! I could live in your coop...
I predict...once chicken math begins to apply itself...the supply cupboard side will become coop; the supply cupboard will beg for a new space. You laugh now......
Building it right from the beginning as you are will save later headaches. Your food producing companions are worth every penny you are spending!
WOW, I am a stain glass artist and I have several windows that I have put into storage. I decided to use one for my coop and it should be done tomorrow..so cool you are using stain glass windows too. Now this week I have to make the covered run.
