This picture actually has more chicken houses than I originally remembered seeing in photos, including slaughter house. Not sure when this picture was taken, but wish those houses were still present

Thanks for the great advice!! I will definitely put all of your ideas & incorporate them into my design.

Check out this plan at the Canada Plans Service:

It's about the size of a two car garage with nestboxes on wall, perches above slats on the other wall and a scratch/litter area in the middle. Looks like a pretty nice layout. Even shows an overhead door for easy access and cleanout of the manure pit.

I'd need to hit the lottery in order to replicate

It would be awesome

I'm trying to design a coop for 100 birds also, and I'd like to have space for a brooding section, feed, egg cartons, and dog/cats. So, I'm thinking between 24 x 24 and 32 x 32 with a 4' aisle down the middle for clean out and egg collecting from divided pens on either side (we want breeeds separated). I'm also thinking of a woodstove in the center for heat in the icy winters, a U-shaped aquaduct the runs through the coop (PVC pipe) for automatic watering, etc, etc. It's big, but we have the space....
