So this month we are expanding my 4 foot by 5 1/2 foot coop to add on a broodery for babies in the spring, we are also making the nesting boxes accessible from the outside, does anyone else have any tips or other things to add? here’s my coop for reference, I have 5 hens and 2 roosters Their run is 7 feet by 13 feet so that will be staying the same size.

I would like to make that 4x4 a brooder for chicks or broody hens, and then make a bigger coop for your main flock. A minimum of 4 square feet per bird in the coop is nice, and extra is better... and since you have 2 males a bit of extra room is even better.... so I would make an 8x8 for your jew main coop.

Of course your max possible number of chickens might want you to make it a bit larger...

Since your brooding more ... and will have 7 chickens before any chicks hatch ... I agree ... just build a bigger coop, and use your current one for brooding ... while your at it ... bump up the size of the run too ;)

Since you already have two males ... what are your plans for any males you hatch? And how many pullets do you plan to keep from the new hatch?

Ditto Dat^^^
In your climate I'd double the 4sqft per bird.

We decided to build a new coop for my main flock and then the other into a broodery as you guys suggested, we started the new 8 foot coop today and it’s turning out great so far!
