Just wanted to let everyone know that the coop is finished (except for a couple of pieces of tin for the run). Today we got 5 chickens-3 Ameraucanas & 2 Blue Andalusians. They are all about 4 months old. We bought them from a guy who was somewhat limited on coop features. I don't think they had ever saw grass before. We turned them in and they immediately started picking. They are all extremely docile. I have already fed them by hand! Around 8:30 we went back up just to sit and watch them. Five minutes later they had already gone in for the night. They just put themselves to bed!
I expected to be running them down one at a time to put them up. All of them are roositing. They are all beautiful girls
Although the largest Ameraucana is quite bossy. I'm sure I will have many more posts and questions. I'll post pics of the girls maybe tomorrow. Good night all.
