With building a new coop. I was wondering what if anything do u cover the floor with to help with easy clean maintenance? Do u paint it or put something down. We plan on putting plywood down as the floor. Wondering if I should just paint it or put some sort of esyy clean flooring down.

In reading about other's coops it seems that the most popular "easy to maintain" floor coverings are Black Jack 57(it's actually a silicone based roofing sealant), and often folks will opt for some type of cheap vinyl floor covering. The sealant is about 20 bucks a gallon around here at home improvement stores and I'm honestly not sure how expensive "cheap" flooring would be. Best of luck with the new coop, hope you find an option that works for you

There are several things you can do. I chose sheet linoleum for the floor and poop board because of the ease of installation and price. Got it as a roll end and cheap. Others have used paint products and from their reviews it seems a good option as well. I’m sure some of them will advise.

BlackJack 57 is a very good option, from what I've seen.
Do some searching on it for application tips.

I used a single sheet of 3/32" thk heavy duty foam backed vinyl,
all the others broke when I bent a corner.
It has held up well for 5 years now on both floor and poop boards.
