Coop floor

I just built a bigger coop out of rough cut lumber made the floor out of it also should I put maybe some mining belt down on the floor to keep from going bad and from smelling

I would cover it with a cheap piece of vinyl,you can usually find a good cheap piece at Lowe's or home depot.

Black plastic sheeting and wood chips. Easy to change when needed.

What is 'mining belt'?

It is a rubber belt that the coal mines use to move coal

We covered our floor with a tarp. It's a bit stronger than plastic so I'm not worried about it getting shredded with their scratching. Come spring, we will pull up the edges and drag it out the door. Hopefully, will make spring clean-out a bit easier, too.

Yeah that's why I was gonna use the belt for easy cleaning and better for the floor than just shavings and the rubber belt is indestructible

how did the mine belt work out? im a coal miner and i got some from work....3 pieces 12foot long four foot wide..layed down great and clean up so far has been super easy...only problem i can see is poop getting in between the belts
