Hi all,

I was looking around at things on craigs list today and found this http://desmoines.craigslist.org/grd/2523312319.html . The past three weeks or so it has been around 100 degrees here. It literally has to be like an oven in there with little or no venting at all. It may be quicker to not buy it and just shove the chickens directly into your stove at home. Am I wrong about how bad it is?

Isn't the entire back top a hinged screen? It looks like there are interchangeable panels for the rear. I've seen a similar style being sold near me, and it also has a screened back top.

Hmmmmm.....it should have some sort of window in it to give a little cross breeze if you ask me!!

Chicken wire will not keep the predators out.

yes i was looking at the hinged top. If it is a hinged panel at the top that has a screen in it.... I would be concerned about a predator on it if I want to leave it open to get the heat out. But maybe it is an outstanding idea. When I saw it I woudlnt want to leave it vented at the top with coons or whatever critter may be out there. But like I said, maybe its a great idea.
