Coop frost/vent

I have a 4x6 coop for 8 chickens. The entire top 3.5 inches on 3 sides of the coop are ventilation and it seems to be working well. By no means a square foot per chicken, but definately effective.

You have between 4'-5' ... depending on which sides you have done ...

And I did say "generally" ... location does matter ... which could take into effect of normal humidity, and wind ...

To the OP ... try the 4"X8' and see how it goes for a week, should be an improvement, may be all you actually need.
