Coop I just finished

It's a nice job! did you wire behind that sliding window? i have only once been to a place that did 'real' coops like solid not stapled products so i wouldn't say your out of range in cost.

No I didn't wire the window behind it. I offered it to the customer but they opted to just throw some hardware clothe or something he had laying around on there himself.

Loading it was definitely quite the show, it's heavy for sure. I did include a roost bar but just didn't upload the pic, oops! And as far as ventilation I vented the eaves front and rear about 1.5 inches each to allow hot air to escape while fresh air comes in the window. Thoughts?
Ah.... That sounds like it will work well! One other thing. You could add some type of coating the floor plywood as an option. Even a small drain hole would be nice to have if the window was left open accidently during a heavy rain storm. I use PT wood planks for flooring in my coop and goat house.

Thats a good idea...I'll see what I can come up with for my next build. Starting on my parents in a couple weeks.

Just delivered my second coop! The folks I built this one for also wanted a run to extend off the side of this one, I made it 8 feet long and matched the height and width of the coop. I'll post photos after they send me some of it all set up.
