coop liter pine or cedar ?

I have already seached and have'nt found an answer. starw is geeting too expensive,which is best cedar or pine and how deep is the deep liter method everyone is talking about. We have peafowl, chickens, guineas, and so on you name it weve got it

Never put cedar as your main bedding. Chickens have respiratory problems from inhaling the aromatic oils in it. Pine bedding is the best and cheapest.
