Hi Donna, Yes I know... they poop loads. This is an old cloth i used as a waterproof layer for camping in the past. it’s from a kind of vinyl sheeting. So with a bit of water easy to clean!

I have wood floors in all my coops and put sheet vinyl over to protect them. Then just clean out poopy spots daily and add bedding as needed. I use deep hardwood shaving as bedding. I do have poop boards under the roosts my chickens sleep on to keep the ducks from being pooped on.

Yes, underneath mine is a hardwood floor too. but the sides of the wall are not hardwood. Hence the vinyl

I use feed bags the kind that are covered in a plastic on the lower walls in my coop for the poop that ends up on them and large dog food bags kind of wall paper! I have. Spray bottle with water I just spray on them and the poop washes down onto the shavings and I scoop it out. You know it’s what works best for us in our situation.

These pictures are takes 1 minute ago. They are inside for feeding since their coop is on the other side of the house and we had late dinner. You won’t expect it but they love to stay inside in this little box when needed. also short drives like max. 10 minutes in a bucket don’t seem to bother them. the are super relaxed. Taking pictures on command is another story. The first feathers are coming trough...

Stip means dot but than in dutch so stip is with the yellow. Vlerk (one of the words for wing and little rascal in Dutch ) is the other one

@Miss Lydia I added a picture of my female call duck born 2016 (just after mating, misses some neckfeathers) the boy has had hit by a car, so my callduck was so unhappy, brought her to a callduck specialist. At least in the Netherlands the bloodlines are few with white calls. So he was more than happy to provide company for her if he could use her for breeding. she won first price of waterfowl last januari. And will get offspring from her and another bloodline in autumn.
