Coop on ebay. Any thoughts?

Those dimensions would work if you had a broody hen setting or raising her chicks. It's really the size of a dog house, could work for banties but you could build something larger in that price range (keep shipping cost in mind, too.). I've been looking on craigslist and ebay for coops, too though it's likely we'll roll up our sleeves and build more or add on this spring. There are lots of great ideas/pics on BYC of coops/designs, good luck with whatever you do. Just remember, plan for more space, never less. At the very least chickens are an addiction and you'll want to keep them happy and healthy.

For 278.54 (i just added up the receipts

) I made a coop that is 4x8 properly studded-paneled with plywood-sitting off the ground on cinder blocks-window-pvc roofing. That money could go a lot further if you dedicated a weekend of your time. Just my 2 cents....
