I wanna plant some pink pampas grass around the coop we're planning to build. That won'y hurt the chickens will it?

I'm planning on some large decorative grasses as well, so I'm looking forward to what experienced chicken keepers have to say. I am hoping it would make nice hiding places for them!

Theay should be fine. Some banana plants would be cool too, theay would use all of the manure.

Yea I was thinking they would just love to hide in them. I was also thinking something tropical like the banana plant but I'm not sure how well that would do in North Georgia.

But yay for large decorative plants!

No some bananas do verry good in non-tropical climates, like the musa basjoo.

How close? The plants are a great place for mice to hide in.

Jow

A few feet away. We have several cats that hang around by the coops for that purpose:) But maybe not that close just in case...
