Well we are making progress. Work, weather and life have held some things up. However, I am thrilled and can't wait to finish it so I can get the ladies in there. I have posted pics of progress so far. Now it is just the little stuff on the inside, siding and painting on the outside. We are going to have a sliding screen door on the inside with the dutch doors for ventilation. The screen doors will be framed hardware cloth. All with latches, of course.
When putting in the windows I had the screens face ouside. I know, the coons will tear them to pieces. Lesson learned. On the inside of the windows we are putting hardware cloth over the windows to keep the critters out. Questions, those who have their windows covered with Hardware Cloth - How do you clean the window?
We still have the "poop deck" to install, the roosting bars, the walls to the nesting boxes and the automatic chicken door.
Currently looking for the best price (under $8 a bag) on bagged shavings here on LI. Any ideas? Having lots of fun with this.
Next is the pond.
