My chicken coop is raised off the ground. My question is should I include the bottom or is it fine to leave open? The coop is in a large fenced in area.

What do you mean "Include the bottom" Do you mean enclose? If you mean inclose then that would depend on you end goal.

Yes it was suppose to be enclose my phone likes to change my words when I'm not paying attention
I didn't know if it should be to be more predator proof or if it mattered.

When in doubt do extra.

You already have it in your mind that it may be needed, so do it. Make it predator proof. "Better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it." Do what you can that is within your means.

How high off the ground? Will you be able to get a chicken out from under there, if you have to? If a hen decides to lay under there, will you be about to retrieve the eggs?
