I am rehabing an old storage building into a coop. Some of the studs have water/insect damage and have to be replaced. Is there any danger in using treated lumber to replace these boards with? The floor is concrete.

I beleive the concern with using treated wood is - will the chickens be able to peck at it? If maybe, you would probably want to paint it. If not, probably no big deal...

Good luck and

I used some treated in our coop, and they honestly never both it... I don't seen them pecking at the wood sides at all. I think its a preference of yours, I've never heard a horror story of anything happening to a bird over treated wood either. Just don't put cedar shavings in the coop. Using it in enclosed spaces can cause respritory issues in small animals.
