I think it's awesome! Everything looks well put-together and very sturdy. I'm working on the same sort of complex/project using whatever I can get my hands on but there's no way I'm going to get out as cheaply as you have. I actually like the way the old supports and beams are still there- will make it even tougher structurally and if you ever want to you can section off portion(s) temporarily or permanently as needed according to what you want to house. In fact, I'll admit I'm going to steal that idea posthaste..... I applaud all your HARD work!!

Hit up construction projects, I have found a ton of used concrete forms that are totally awesome, heavy as all get out but they make for great building materials.

I'm planning on adding a watering system in there to use rainwater when we have it from the tarp I'm adding, not sure if I can get it to work immediately but the idea is there. Have the barrel(s) and hoses ready to go, just need fittings and a ballast for the water bowl.

Right now they look like they've been drowned, seriously. They refuse to stay on the covered side of the run!!! The splash roo can actually see me with all of his fuzz slicked down and has tried to get huffy with me, he really doesn't like it when I pick him up and carry his butt around for a few minutes and show him the girls that don't belong to him, settles down for a few days after that. And now that I finally got them to lay in the 'nest boxes'..... I'm going to be moving them

but they'll be getting a room added on to their run as well so Hubby will have more room to raise babies..... IF anyone ever decides to go broody, though we are loving all the eggs they are giving us for pickling

I think I'm going to break down and fix my frank-en-bator... my luck I'll have 5 broody silkies the next day
