If I ever see a post hole digger again, it will be too soon. :p

The electric fence works, as tested and confirmed by my wife's Yorkshire Terrier. He won't go within 50 feet of it now. I can say with certainty that was a real lesson learned. ;)

All that's left to do is some sort of top covering to discourage the owls and hawks and will probably weave in some heavy twine this weekend. A friend of ours did that to hers and said it works just fine.

Cool! How big is the coop? How many chickens? :thumbsup

We have five in there now and it's a 10x20 run. Planning on building a larger coop and get away from this pre-fab one from TS. It worls for now but I can see it rapidly being outgrown.
That sounds like a nice size run.

That coop is very small. For that many chickens, you want a 4’ by 5’ coop. Also, pre fabs need a lot more ventilation. I would build my own, if I were you. There’s some great coop ideas and designs on here. *do be warned, chicken math is no joke. Plan for more chickens. I would build a 5’ by 8’ coop so you can have more room for chickens... you will probably want more.*
