coop & run size for banty's

My bantam coop is about the size of a sheet of plywood. I have a trio in it but there is room for about 6 birds in it.

I am going to get some better pics tomorrow of the whole coop and post them for you. It was realtively low-cost because the coop was an old playhouse. I got it for free and put a new roof, hardwood flooring, nestboxes, windows, insulation, new siding on the back, a run, and heat lamps for around $150 to $200. The trim on it and the run were most expensive.

2 sq foot is fine for the coop. My only precaution on 5 foot for the run is that if you get the game bantams or another fiesty breed they may need a little more and since a lot of them are flighty, be sure to cover the run. Predators have a easier time getting bantams, so hardware mesh for sure
