Coop size

What you could always do is take off some of the wall panels and attach fencing to the framing for your run, especially if you live somewhere hot. I'd do it on the part without the window, since they need ventilation in the coop.
Do you mean like connecting fencing to the coop?

Kinda. If your landlord is ok with it, you could remove some of the wall panels on the shed so that it's just the framing and the roof left, and then attach fencing where the walls were. You'd leave some of the wall panels on to serve as the coop.

Like say, all the wall paneling on the side of the shed in the red box, but leaving the other half intact.

ETA: By that side, I mean all three walls (paneling only) of that side of the shed.

That is a good idea. I was thinking I could take off the panels and then

that is a great idea! Do you think that will be enough room?

Hello! I have some questions about the coop we have. Our landlord left a coop/ shed for us and there are windows made out of chicken wire you can open. It’s roughly 15 ft length and 7 ft width. We have no run for them to have, so Is it ok for 4 chickens to only live in the coop with no run? In my opinion I think the coop is so big they will be fine, but I need more opinions since I have never had chickens. Thanks! (Here is a picture of the coop I know it has to be cleaned😂)

It looks like it will be too air tight. Add lots of ventilation, like maybe a whole wall (south side probably) and high. Ammonia is lighter than air (generally) and the chickens will roost in the highest places they can get on. You don't want them to breathe ammonia all night. If they don't know anything about sunlight, they won't know what they are missing. On the other hand, you will be missing the joy of watching them do chicken things. Even a small run would be better, overall.

Yes we are going to take off the wooden panels on the right and replace it with fence, so it’s like a run. Thank you!
