Coop sweet coop

Hey I see you are in Fallbrook. Is all well down there fire wise? I am in Idyllwild and just got home yesterday after being evacuated. They caught the guy that started it luckily. He has plead not guilty. I was staying at my daughter's house in Hemet and she mentioned something about a fire down there somewhere. Hope you are ok.

All is well here in Fallbrook so far. We have the Holy fire but fortunately for us it moved away from us.

Hope you didn’t lose anything in the fire.
I saw the guy in a video, he was acting all kinds of crazy. Don’t believe it though. This is just awful.

Keeping everyone in my thoughts during this horrible time.

OOoooOooh DAMN! Did you custom build it yourself? My only complaint would be, with that much room to spare on your piece of property...... I would have made the run bigger by extending the width of it, or if you like it to be aligned with the coop for a cleaner look, build the coop a bit wider. But that's a minor complaint, it's a nice coop. Well done!

Thank you, hubs built it. I kept telling him the run was too small, but, he didn’t listen. There are plans to widen the coop now though if he would have just listened the first time.

Glad to hear you are safe. We had really bad smoke from the Holy Fire on Thursday and Friday. It seems somewhat better today. I keep praying for rain, but so far no luck. We didn't lose anything in our fire thankfully, but we know several people who did. Plus our beautiful view along Highway 74 and 243 into Idyllwild has been ruined forever. That was deer habitat through there as well and so it will greatly affect the wildlife as well. So sad. These guys that start these fires need to be made to fight fires for the rest of their lives and be in jail when there aren't any. They will all try to act crazy now since Brown just passed that law the other day. What is this world coming too?

Now, in the worst example of rushed reform yet, Gov. Jerry Brown this week signed into law Assembly Bill 1810 — a budget “trailer bill” with no credited author that takes effect immediately. It includes a provision that appears to allow defendants charged with any crime to get the charges put on hold and perhaps eventually dismissed if they can persuade a judge that the offense resulted from a mental disorder that a mental health expert says is treatable.

Glad to hear you weren’t affected by the fire. I feel bad for these poor animals, hoping they are finding safety somewhere.
Seems like Brown is trying to ruin this country as much as possible before he retires. It’s a shame, really. Doesn’t he realize in the long run, he too will be affected by his poor decisions.

We just moved here last October from Northern Cali. The “fire season” is something else. I want to get a couple of donkeys, but I’m starting to rethink that.

Not sure if I would want to spend the rest of my life in jail, or the loony bin?!?

Finally painted the girls hen house. Just have to paint the small part inside the run. Don’t know when that’ll get done with the girls in there. But I think it’s safe to say they are happy here.
Lovely set up. What are the inside dimensions of your coop and how many chickens do you have? Thanks.
