Coop Temperature confusion

Re Millie - I have a hen who has no feet, from frostbite. She gets around on the ground fine but unable to perch. I use help on the coop floor, and she has her own corner made up under the drop board. As others have suggested, I use radiant heat plates when the temp really drops that 1 or 2 weeks of the year, and she, as well as everyone else, stays comfy.

Oh my! No feet! You are a ✨️WONDERFUL ✨️ person!
I'm hoping to convince hubby to do radiant next year.

Thanks..they're stubborn but resilient birds. That was supposed to say "hemp", not "help". Lol. I try to use solar as much as possible, but the electric water heaters & radiants do well. Good luck!
