Our coop will be finished this weekend, and my chicks are feral in the brooder at this point and I think we are all eager for them to move outside from the garage. We have 8 of them, and they will be 5 weeks old on Monday. We have a 8x8 shed coop conversion they'll be going into, and a run thats nearly complete. If our temperature lows are predicted down to 47 this week, and a thermometer in the coop has shown it has gotten no colder than 56 degrees inside the coop over the past 3 weeks -- are they ready ? I'm so nervous about the babies!!

Can we move into your coop? Wish we had those temps here in central Florida.
Those are good temps for chicks of that age. We keep a heat lamp in the coop, off to one side, for a week or so, that the chicks can go to if they get chilled but can stay away from if not needed. Once we see that they aren’t going to the lamp at night we remove it.

That is a great temperature for them to be moved out in. Not too cold but not too hot. And that is a great sized coop as well. They will be very happy.
