It's hard to get a falcon shot, and the further away you are, the harder it gets. We've got 3 on the calenar out of Vanderberg the next week or so. All the windows are in the general timeframe of sunset, so we might get to see them. (550 miles to Vandy from here.)March 2, 2026
I didn't get any pictures today, but for today and yesterday, I got two last night I wanted to share. I got a text from my Mom that there was a possibility of seeing the SpaceX launch, and the time of seeing it was when I got the text. I immediately grabbed the dog and rushed out the door and to the nearby field I sometimes take my chickens to for photoshoots. The moon was bright, do I could see a lot.
The picture I took for this thread:

Then I ended up seeing the SpaceX, and I tried taking a picture of it, but it was gone within seconds. In this picture below where I tried capturing it, it was almost center and just above the trees:

Seeing it was gone so fast, I regret taking out my phone to try getting a picture of it. Even though it seemed promising that it was going to be visible longer, I feel like I missed a lot of it trying to take a picture of it.
I am happy that I did get to see it for a few seconds, and it definitely was worth going out there for. When I saw it, it was exactly eight minutes after it was supposedly launched.
(Both pictures were taken with my Samsung Galaxy A35 5G. )
Oh, wow! Those are excellent shots! Just looking at your pictures I can tell you're a lot closer than me. I hope you can get some more. It's hard to get a falcon shot, and the further away you are, the harder it gets. We've got 3 on the calenar out of Vanderberg the next week or so.
