Here is my project ive finished it in a couple of days building after work. each bunk is 37" long 27" deep & 16" tall!! They have a 5 gallon bucket water system hooked up to water cups i bought them from amazon, allot of people say that they leak that is because they did not use any thread tape about 3 to 4 wraps and youre all set! the feeders are for rabbits or quail but they work perfect so they dont escape while feeding or watering. heat lamps for reptiles 6 inches away its the perfect amount of heat. currently there is 32 day old chicks in one bunk and plenty of room for more! there are drip trays under the 1/4" wire mesh that collects all the droppings makes it very easy to just clean it out once a day! Let me know what you think! The water that is in there is brown sugar and celtic salt that is what we give them for the first 2 waterings after that we give them normal water but i didnt want it to clog our cups. the plate has egg yoke we give them that for a few days also. let me know what you guys think!!PS(there was 65 birds on the bottom when the pictures were taken but have been devided up)

That's pretty cool. I really like that you can reach in instead of reaching over the top. Makes the chicks less skittish.

65 (even divided) might outgrow the pens pretty quickly but still pretty cool.

Are the reptile heat lamps safer than the regular hear lamps? I've always heard horror stories about fires.

this is just for the babys. then they will be moved to a bigger brooder for a couple months. the lights seem safe we have used them for about 3 years now and no issues
