Coop until run is done

I have 8 in a 32 square foot coop right now. Feed is in a bowl, auto watering cup in a 2 gallon bucket. A big log to climb up on and a roost bar for variety. And I give them fresh weeds with the dirt still attached most days to give them something exciting to do. They seem content with 4 square feet each.

Our 8 week olds are going to have to move into the coop for a bit while husband finishes the run. If he can complete it in a week, will they be ok (only 3 in a 24 square foot coop)?
I assume that coop is bigger than the brooder they are now in? They should be ecstatic in there.

Suggestions for food and water delivery systems while they are in there (as well as your favorites once they have their run)?
There are so many different food and water delivery systems I can't even narrow it down. We have our favorites but those favorites are all different. If it is temporary I'd suggest looking for something you have in hand to save money, maybe a pet bowl or some type of shallow bowl.

I am doing the same and tonight is the first night for my flock. I hung the waterer from a chain inside for now. I used the brooder feeder in the floor until I get whatever I’m using outside. I may step to a 5 gallon bucket with the feeding ports to keep it cheap and see how it goes.

Being new to chicken keeping I started with the small drinker and feeder. I quickly realized the need for daily cleaning and feeder replenishment. I decided to go with the 5 gallon buckets with rent a coop cups and the 45 degree feeder. So far (4 days) they are both working great. I also got the new pop automatic door operational and it closes at night after the chickens are in the coop and opens before I get out of bed in the morning. It was a lot of work but well worth it for piece of mind when I go away for the weekend!:)

Very nice! I need to get my feeders mounted on a bucket. The chicks seem to throw more food on the floor than they eat.
