Coop ventilation verses drafts

Good ventilation allows for the transfer of crappy/stale air for fresh air. You want to maintain good ventilation in the winter. You just don't want a bunch of cold air blowing across the chickens at the same time. Chickens can handle the cold alot better than the high heat of summer. If you don't have enough ventilation (Exchange of air) in the winter, You'll see frosted walls in the coop and more than likely put your birds in danger of frostbite. Check out the link below. The front is open, uncovered, year round. The other windows are opened up in the warmer months. NO frosted walls in there, and no frostbite either.
