Coop Ventilation

Just checked - no ridge vent. Hmmm… now that would have been the bees knees. Maybe one can still be created??
@3KillerBs and others state the requirement for 1 sq ft per bird of ventilation 24/365.

Note that a ridge vent will not provide that amount so gable vents are going to be needed.

Ridge vents are standard pieces for any profile of metal roofing sheets; various types and costs. Keep digging either at big box or roofing suppliers.

Show us the whole roof from the outside...ridge looks odd in the pic above.
Guessing there's not enough roof overhang to protect open gables.
Soffit vents would be good, but not sure they can be opened up.

I have some useful links in re: extending a roof in either direction.

Here's how-to (and how not to), extend a roof by sistering the extension to the rafters: https://strousehomeinspections.com/blog/structural-roof-extensions.html

And here is how to use lookouts to extend the roof at right-angles to the rafters: https://www.backyardchickens.com/ar...e-overhangs-eaves-of-a-shed-coop-house.76599/
