Coop vs Run

Considering how much my girls roost and look out our windows , I'd guess the coop is too dark and stuffy to want to be in it?( if I were a chicken )also I love your ducks!!do ducks and chickens co-exist in the same run? I thought ducks would make it too wet and muddy for chickens health ??

I will put windows and air holes on my to do list for this weekend. And yes, the ducks get on well with the chicks. The dirt floor is a pretty good slope, so only about the first 3' gets wet from the ducks playing. The ducks and their pool was my daughter's contribution. It is certainly nice to to have 2 different spastic breeds to watch. I'm hopeful for duck eggs, too.
