Coop wall hight???

Yes! I'm imagining the chicken wire is the divider from the storage area? You read my mind! But mine will not be as attractive/polished as yours.
Thank you very much! Yes the chicken wire is my storage room divider. This is an old picture before I rearranged their roosting area with poop platforms and more roosts.

Thank you so much for the visual! I see it in my head and try to sketch it or describe it to hubby but I fall short. I will be using you photos now because again you read my mind, except in mirror image in the coop section.
Is the storage space about 4x8 or so? I've thought about possibly putting the nests in the partition wall to make it easy to collect eggs without needing to go inside (making it easier for other family members if I'm not home) and also to open more floor for the chickens. Do you think there is enough room in the storage space for that?

My storage space is a little less 4x8 ft accounting for thickness of studs in the outer wall but depending on where your outside door opens there should be enough room for your laying boxes through that partition wall. One of these days I may put my laying boxes through the outside wall to give more indoor space. Yes it would increase your chickens usable floor space. My hens only go into the coop to roost and lay eggs. I live in SE Texas so they stay outside in a secure chicken run (part of it is roofed) most of the time. Right now I have 19 hens but won't get more because of the size of my coop. My enclosed chicken run is over 624 sq.ft.

Perfect! That's the dimensions I figure I'll ultimately have. Thank you! I have 6 hens and 1 rooster but want to have a max of 12 hens so it should be plenty of room. My run is 300sqft. This is great info, gives me hope.
Now, where's the saw and drill....and how do they work? :oops:I've got work to do!
