coop watering ideas... anyone got some?

i was thinking about fixing up my old chicken coop, and making some kind of gutter system that drains into a small trough on the ground to the far right; so it could drain out of the coop if it over flows. i was also going to use a latch on the gutter for easy cleaning. but i would love to hear more ideas on in coop watering from anyone who would like to share :) - thank you.
 
I think using a barrel to collect water might be better than having the water go directly into a trough.

Here are a couple of videos of people making rain collection systems that provide water to chickens. I think with the first one the guy turned on the valve slightly so that water drips into the chickens' water bowl.

I agree that you don't want an open flow to a trough, it could overflow. A barrel system flowing down to watering cups would be a great system.
